The BG SDMHA mains-powered heat alarm is designed to provide safety in areas where a smoke alarm may not be suitable, such as kitchens or other rooms where smoke or steam is present. Instead of detecting smoke, this alarm monitors for a significant rise in temperature, alerting you if a fire is about to break out. For comprehensive coverage, it can be interconnected with other BG interconnected alarms.
 
This heat alarm features a hardwired design, connecting directly into your home?s electrical system for reliable operation. It supports interconnection with up to 24 heat and smoke alarms, or up to 12 alarms when including a CO detector. The included dust cover protects the device during installation, preventing contamination. Additionally, the 9V battery backup ensures continuous functionality even if mains power is lost. The hush function allows for temporary silencing, while the test function, fault indicators, and low battery warnings assist with regular maintenance and ensure the alarm remains in optimal working condition.
